Description of the movements of Father Antonio Monserrate during his visit to the court of Akbar. Father Monserrate depaarted from Goa in 1579 and returned in 1582. He travelled through the territories of the Mughal empire, stayed at the court of Akbar, and accompanied Akbar in his military campaign against his half-brother in Afghanistan. Data: places through which Monserrate traveled. Data consists of 140 places mentioned by Monserrate. These places represent towns, cities, rivers, mountains, mountain ranges, sacred places, and forts. Most of the places were encountered by Monserrate. In some cases, he refers to places that he did not see.
