Description The journey of Rabbi Benjamin from Spain through the Middle East, as digitized by Marcus Nathan Adler. He kept up communications between Jewish communities in different countries, and they were established in virtually every city of importance by the Middle Ages. Benjamin took considerable notes on geography and was likely trying to establish places of asylum, as well as taking note of economic interest in each area.
